This course provides an overview of information management and business intelligence functions. It also provides knowledge on database design and the use of SQL. It basically aims to teach students to integrate business intelligence function in the development of a database system. The topics cover information management, basic database terminology, data modelling, SQL theory, implementation using relational database system and application of business intelligence functions.
The students would have to present the implemented database at the end of the semester.
