Students will be able to understand tourism planning as a process and as a set of techniques for sustainable tourism development giving importance on the physical environment and the social, cultural and political realities of planning and policy making. Students will engage with practical planning tools and strategies, industry, government, field work, and individual and group projects to develop an understanding of tourism policy-making processes, and to gain skills in both evaluation and development of tourism plans and policies. Discussions will also be made on the Philippine Tourism Master Plan to allow the students an overview of what real plans are like and experience evaluation by measuring the actual achievements of the government against their plans. The course may include a field trip component.

This course focus on some problems, issues and trends related to the field of education.This allows student to adapt a wider knowledge and perspective of teaching profession through attendance and conduct of seminars on the latest trends in education. It explores emerging concerns , new directions and reforms through examining the artificial issues and problems that brought about the different paradigm shifts and transformations currently found in the aims, processes and delivery of education in the new normal.
