The course is
designed to provide comprehensive knowledge to the students regarding
Intellectual Property (IP), Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), and the general
principles of IPR. Moreover, it aims to understand IPR’s concepts and theories.
The course also aims to ensure that the students will be aware of their exclusive
rights to protect their IP assets resulting from any creative, literary, or artistic
works, inventions, designs, etc. In addition, the course will require the
students to obtain the skills in producing Patent Search Reports. And finally,
to learn the different ways to apply IP Protection to the Intellectual Property
of the Philippines (IPOPHL).
