This course provides critical issues in the
hospitality and tourism industry. It also provides students with the
opportunity to explore and develop their understanding of a range of trends and
issues relating to the international hospitality and tourism industry, as well
as to examine the implications of these trends and issues for the management of
hospitality businesses and how change can be implemented and managed. The
students will also explore change in the world and look at the current state of
the industry and make educated predictions as to the future of the lodging,
cruise, restaurant, technology and travel industries.
